Out of the fights you mentioned, only Khabib/McGregor was a real, good fight.

There is no boxing equivalent of those fights, its a totally different sport and what someone is going to see once the bell rings is completely different. Let me know when Broner runs across the ring and KOs a well known, well regarded opponent who was the favourite, in 5 seconds with the first punch thrown. Maybe people would care about watching him then.

Mas and Diaz are actual stars that people are invested in win or lose (Canelos live crowd at the Kovalev fight can attest to this). Also the first Conor/Diaz fight was Nate coming in as a late replacement for RDA, and he won so obviously it turned out to be a legit fight, it was also 2 weight classes up from Conors previous fight.

Mas/Usman, sure it wasnt all that legit from a competitive perspective, the UFC was just capitalizing on Jorges momentum. But its hardly a big deal when Usman has fought Colby (and is about to rematch him) and Burns over the same time frame and further back also fought Woodley, Edwards, RDA, Maia etc.

As for Gaethje/Chandler and Oliveira/Poirier,thats the 4 best guys in arguably the strongest division in the sport, and Oliveira/Chandler and Gaethje/Poirier have already happened, plus Poirier has fought Conor 3x and both of them have fought Khabib, who also fought Gaethje.

You're also missing out the part where Gaethje/Chandler IS ON THE SAME ****ING CARD as Usman/Covington 2 AND Rose/Zhang 2, it also has Rockhold coming back, Edgar/Chito and the debut of Pereira ie the guy who beat Adesanya twice in kickboxing. It is rare to get a full night of fights where theres a bunch of different **** to be invested in like that with boxing. That Fury/Wilder 3 PPV is a rare example of one that comes kind of in the ballpark.

And Jon Jones is not the UFCs biggest star, you already know this yourself so why talk ****?
