    Juarez overrated

rocky juarez is over rated IMO. he still hasn't taken on any top 15 gyz. all these gyz are like 33-7, he needs to take on sum good gyz. against raheem, he KD in the 2nd, but the 3 point deudctions were dum, and most thought that the scorecards were pretty in accurate as it is. A rematch of that would be nice. or for juraez to take on a contendor.

lol, I had a feeling that last nights vicious one round knock out just wouldnt be enough for some people! He's in line for a title next...will that help? I like the guy alot, he has loads of potential and I really expected last night to be a much tougher test for him! I sure didnt expect him to floor the guy 3 times and get the stoppage in the first round! Good for you Rocky!

I don't know about Rocky,I mean I see that he has potential, but remember he struggled really badly against another prospect Zahir Raheem and even with the hometown ref, I thought he lost that fight!

      Time will tell with Juarez...

thats true, but remember, for every fighter, there will be another fighter that has a certain style that will give them fits! For Jones it was Tarver, and for Mosley it was Forrest, and for DLH it's Mosley, etc...the list goes on and on. Hopefully that was what the deal was in Rockys fight against Raheem. I do wish they'd fight a rematch and we could possibly find out if that was the deal or not. But, giving Rocky full credit, he has gone on since then in impressive fashion, with impressive stoppages. He's still young with plenty of time to improve too!

I also feel that he lost to Raheem. That ref was just rediculous.

Give him some time Riz.....you cant blame his management for being careful Hopefully after the title fight he's got coming up he'll step it up in opposition. It worried me last night when they said that Juan Diaz would be fighting Ebo Elder. The guy isnt a great boxer (Elder) but he's a tough one and not so easy to dispose of. (I brought him up cause they are similar in my mind..Juarez and Diaz, both being Texas boys, etc.)

Thats a postive way of looking at it! And your right he is still young, only 24, and your right every fighter has that certain nemsis, that offsets their own style.

Its just that everytime you see a prospect struggle you immediately think, "well he wasn't as good as we thought." I think its a natural reaction to say that.

I was really high on Rocky before the Raheem fight, but maybe he just had an off night against a tough opponent. However I do wanna see him step up soon, so that we can be sure how good this kid really is!

                    hmm

For Jones it was Tarver, and for Mosley it was Forrest,
Not really. Roy did beat Tarver after all in the first fight, and that was the worst he's ever looked. He also was old when he fought Tarver. Everyone knows a prime Roy would have beaten Tarver much more decisvely.

                    Forrest totally dominated Mosley.

                    Two different things.

As for Juarez, he definitely lost vs Raheem.
