I want to see some British fighters, fighting in america more.

And in exciting places such as New York.

It will be good if MatchRoom could produce some cards, Britain vs America 'Everything single fight'.

Because Broner is a name that people recognize and he's not terribly hard to beat at this stage (although you need to tell that to the judges).

Benn's last two fights were guys with name recognition as being "tough opponents" but who were no longer really dangerous at this points in their careers.

Benn has improved since the Peynaud days but Matchroom is also navigating his career incredibly carefully so as to avoid any real threats until he either develops as an actual threat or until they are ready to cash him in. A win against AB and he joins the ranks of Maidana, Pac, Mikey Garcia and Porter.

Fighting Ennis or Ortiz Jr gets him smoked. You know that, I know that and everyone else should know that.

Benn knows his limitations. Broner is in the Goldilocks zone. Not too big and not too small. Just right and disliked enough to draw a crowd to watch him get beat.

It would be a good step up. Broner can always punch and has a good chin. He is just not good anything else: speed, timing, footwork, defense, combination punching. Unless the opponent is considerably smaller.

But Broner would be a good test for Benn. If you want to move up in the ranks, you have to get by the Granados and the Broner’s of the world.

Sounds great. Would love to see it. But here's the thing. You said if Matchroom could produce. What about TR producing? What about PBC producing? And what about GBP producing. Why does it always have to be Matchroom? It does need to be Matchroom, but not only. They all have to do their part. But Matchroom seem to be the only one trying. And they all have "anti Hearn agendas". Why not have "what matters to the fighters and giving the fans the big fights agendas". They don't have to like the guy, just learn to deal with him.

You know the beloved fighters of the black and white era that fans praise so much, could fight 90 Samuel Vargas’s, Granados’s, and Broner’s, and only 10 top 10 fighters and still get praised.

What would those fights do right now? Why put all the young up and coming guys against each other?

Let’s get the young guys vs rugged veterans first.

No, we should not let fights over marinate. But let’s see what the young guys have vs veterans first.

Benn vs Ennis or Ortiz Jr would not even be “the best fighting the best”. Ortiz and Ennis are in the bottom half of the top 10 and Benn isn’t in the top 10 yet. At least give him time to show he is a top 10 welterweight by beating other veterans.

Ennis or Ortiz beating Benn right now means nothing. They would not even be beating a top 10 WW. Benn beating someone like Broner right now, shows us a bit more of him and allows us to see where he should rank in the top 15 WW’s. It will make fans say “Well, ok, he can beat that caliber of a fighter” now let’s see him step it up above Broner level.

I don't really get involved in the promotion debates. I am only really familiar with Match-room, Sunderland bothers, and Golden Boy promotions.

No idea, and I have never seen a interview with Al Haymon, no idea whether the PBC reference is for him?

But yes you are right, some of these american promoters could branch out a bit more.

As you said he's improved since Peynaud and their being careful with him, and that's totally fine. He still needs rounds and experience. But a lot of these Posters are so keen to see Benn get smoked that, that is why they keep going on about, he doesn't mention Ennis or Ortiz. From what I can see they're not mentioning Benn, so it's a case of right back at you. If he's good enough he'll get to those fighters when he's ready. But these Posters don't want him to be ready. They want him to be destroyed so they can have their laugh at him and probably more specifically Hearn. It's kind of Pathetic. Let the guy go about his buisness. And also he's mentioned Porter. Is he not a big name, a live body? Seems he is for Crawford. So many hypocrites out there.

Exactly right, moving up in the ranks. Nobody is saying he's the finished article. And yet some posters are treating him like he is and he's running scared of certain fighters. It's early days for Benn and he's making his way. Only time will tell if he's good enough. Broner, if nothing else is a big profile raiser and payday. That's why Regis wants him so much also.

They know it would mean nothing. They just want to see Benn beaten so they can have a laugh at both Benn and Hearn, and think it will damage Matchroom.
