Hmm. I think that a lot of serious boxing fans believe that Marquez has a fair shot at winning. I wonder how the author defines a serious boxing fan? I hope he doesn't mean the supposed 'elite' group of boxing web-zine reporters. Btw, how about a spelling and grammar check on these reviews?

marquez has a very good chance to win early. if this fight gets to round 4 and beyond. marquez is in for a beating. floyd's been gone for awhile and everything he does is timed with speed. that said then he'll be off a little so jmm better get him early or the beat down will be ugly.Comment

Is this sarcasm? The fact that his opponent had to emphasize that his bloody nose was 'real' blood made me pause for a second. At any rate, JMM can handle a bloodied nose just fine. It's Money May who might actually pass out from seeing his own blood.Comment

Floyd may be faster, but I, for one, don't believe that he is as significantly faster as many in the media are claiming. In terms of speed and skill, I don't view this fight as anything close to a mismatch. It remains to be seen if size and power present a mismatch though.Comment

Not so sure about this assessment. Marquez has shown that he stays pretty strong for the duration of a fight. He's far from a four-round fighter. That said, I think it would be smart of JMM (he knows it too, of course) to get as many of the early rounds in the bag to force Floyd to be more aggressive in the latter half of the fight. The way I see it JMM has to win 8 or 9 rounds clearly to win a decision. I just can't imagine him getting a decision in a fight that he doesn't clearly dominate.
