Why was Lara Warrington 2 declared a Technical Draw instead of a No Decision or No Contest?

Can anyone explain this to me? Stanionis Collazo was a ND after almost going the minimum 4 rounds. Franco Moloney 2 was a ND after the "accidental headbutt" Boots Van Heerden was a ND after accidental butt in the 1st round. Of course there are more examples but these are the most recent ones I remember. If there as any others the past year or two feel free to add them.

So why does Lara get another blemish on his record? Just because it's in the UK?

"Generally, a Technical Draw occurs when an accidental foul has taken place which has caused the bout to be halted; the bout’s outcome is then determined by the judges’ scorecards to this point as long as at least four rounds have been completed."

"A decision in boxing where a fight has to be stopped due a fighter being unable to continue the fight from an injury or a foul. Technical draws also occur when the specified number of rounds has not been completed. Most states have eliminate the use of technical draw decisions and have replaced it with a no contest instead."

Why the disparity still? Seems to me like this should be a no decision or no contest but wtf do I know. That's why I asked in the RBR thread and then made this thread instead!

It's within the rules to declare it a draw. It's an outdated rule that I think should be changed to be in line with the modern rules, which indeed would've warranted a no-decision.

It depends on the jurisdiction. Kovalev has a draw on his record that's similar to that as well. If that fight had happened in a different U.S. state, it would have been a no contest. I don't like the rule, it should be a no contest.
