Something desperately needs to be done to reign in these ridiculously long and pedantic negotiations.

It's one thing to naturally try and gain every advantage, but for so long now fight contracts have gone way beyond what is prudent and practical.

I can remember Kostya Tszyu remarking that his fight with Miguel Gonzalez took nine months to conclude. I'm not sure if this is the norm, but it seems obvious that contract negotiations are frequently used and abused, sometimes to manipulate the purse, give a fighter an excuse to avoid a fight, and on and on.

Someone on here surely understands the essentials of contract negotiations as I wonder if a meditator, state, or sanctioning official is involved to ensure the process doesn't get out of hand.

It simply is ridiculous that concluding a fight contract should be so complex and lengthy.

On a positive note, I'm actually relieved that there is finally going to be an undisputed fight between these two after it seemed unlikely.

I said it before and will say it again Caleb sweet hands Plant is going to expose the cherry picker fraud. He is the better fighter and will win by late stoppage or decision. Boxing is not about who hits harder. It's about the sweet science and that's where clenelo has his problems.
