Yes, the WBC are outrageous here. The response should either be: he tested positive and we are committed to clean boxing so we cannot sanction the fight or we are committed to clean boxing and he tested positive, but we think there are mitigating factors that lead us to believe he is still a clean fighter, therefore no action.
What we have is an acknowledgement that he has transgressed the rules and then a series of lightweight punishments that mainly benefit the WBC. Which looks corrupt.
