Publicity stunt so guys can call him out so he can "come out of retirement". He still has like a few fights on his Showtime contract and has seen how much money/fame this stuff brings. Got Lebron James tweeting at him, every boxer in the game talking about him, and a bunch of celebs in the stands. This gives him time to train a bit before "picking" his next opponent.
