Miss him? He's still around. He just booked an event with Stiverne for the WBA belt back in January. He just isn't as big as he used to be but he's in events every now and then.

yes. Don King cheated his fighters, he didn't cheat the public. His cards would be stacked from top to bottom. For example, Tyson vs Seldon had Trinidad AND Terry Norris fighting on the undercard as hype for a showdown that was looming.. (too bad Mullins crashed that). I'm tired of these ****ty PBC, DLH, Hearn, and Arum cards in which we gotta sit thru 3 hours of bs before an overmatched/one-sided main event..

He is bad for the fighters but good for the public. His PPV cards were stacked all the time. I saw him like a year and a half ago in Delray Beach Fl. He was buying a bunch of groceries in Walmart for a fighter that he has there. He was cordial and gave my friend a big Don King coin. He is such a likable con as long as you are not doing business with him.

Being born in the 90s I obviously cannot answer. I just know him from robbing fighters, and working with Ali, but apart from that I don't know much about him. How was his cards in comparison to today's standard? Was he more well known in America or globally?

Greatest salesman in boxing history. Can talk you into selling your own mother for a dollar.

He was definitely a global figure being in boxing for decades and had the hair to make him a public cartoon character with a very loud mouth . He was needed back then but today ? Not really he would hold up fights that are supposed to happen he’s doing it still with Trevor Bryan and his own fighter Lovejoy was finagled out of money and abandoned him in a legal battle so he hasn’t changed .

He also was in a time period the market was basically just the U.S so he had no real competition in those 80”s years . He was also suspected of murder in the the day and was a very shrewd con artist who had a shady background more accustomed to a mob guy behind the scenes . For the sport however he really made boxing big but he would swerve anfd try and control the sport again if he was that King of yesteryear which would eliminate a lot of fights from happening in the much bigger market now .

He also single handily ruined Mike Tyson’s career and derailed a guy who may have went undefeated had King got shut out .

Heard DK would stack his undercards unlike the ripoffs today

anyways DK exceeded expectations when it came to making big fights happen

boxing fans aren’t supposed to care about how much fighters get paid

so what if he ripped boxers off

PS DK was one of the most charismatic figures in boxing only behind Mike and Ali
