  • WHAT!? Tim Bradley Told Porter To Go After Crawford...Did Tim "See Something" Where Crawford Takes An L??

So the reason Shawn is going full throttle for Crawford is that Tim Bradley - Crawford's buddy - told Shawn to go after him.

    Interesting!

crawford is going to be 34 in a month. really 35-36 is when most fighters drop off. crawford prob got a fight or two left in his near prime before the downhill drop.

crawford already got dropped by that lithuianian cabbage farmer.

Thing is, even if Porter doesn't get his hand raised...

NSB and the media have put Crawford on pedestal way up in the sky.

They've crowned him #1 and #2 and let him sit on that for 4 years based only on the 'eye test' and allowed him to feast on the C-level (BoMac's own words) .

They said this guy beats a prime Floyd.

And they've constantly discredited Shawn Porter.

So now the bar is higher.

Crawford would have to clearly dominate to get any credit. Minimum 9 rounds clearly on a decision, a knockout, or a clean stoppage without a trigger ref.

All Shawn has to do is make Crawford look like he's struggling, and it will prove that Crawford is just another fighter.

Crawford -v- Porter would be great but does he come from the right side of the street?

I thought Tim Bradley was a shill for Top Rank.

              Those are your exact words.

Why would he give Porter good advise if he wanted Top Rank fighters to win?

With the purse bid, it won't matter.

Porter will affect Crawford early but he'll get timed and dropped in the mid-rounds.

Kind of looked up Crawford on BoxRec to remind myself how he got here.... and there is no one of note on that resume. It is not a horrid list of opponents, but it has gotten really bad at 147. Porter is not only a step up, he is the best opponent Crawford will have ever faced. That is really sobering. I am starting to lean Porter right now, who has been in serious wars.
