Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker's Manager Expects Offer For Derek Chisora Rematch

Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker is still heading in the direction of a rematch with division veteran Derek Chisora. Parker was forced to return to New Zealand earlier this month, when members of his training camp tested positive for COVID-19 in the middle of their preparations in Las Vegas.

Parker's career is a joke now. He had a lot of promise and upside. But now he is at a point where he is hoping for a rematch with Chisora. That's the best he can do? Pretty bad

Do you have a better idea for him?

It is a big money fight and he won`t get another world title shot anytime soon. So?

I'm sure he'd rather have the Whyte rematch, in a fight he was wronged. Instead he's giving a rematch to Chisora, in a fight many felt Chisora was wronged.

            What's wrong with that?

Yeah I have better ideas. How about he fight Hrgovic to start with. He made plenty of money with the AJ fight so Hrgovic would set him up to get another big money fight with AJ. No? Ok well then how about fighting any one else in the top 15 other than Chisora, who is a doormat at this point in his career. Chisora has what, 11 losses now? Parker was a so called champion at one point. Now he is attempting to rematch a guy with double digit losses.

Plenty. He wasn't wronged in the Whyte fight. Parker is not aggressive enough. If he was, he would have probably won that fight and at least competed in the AJ fight.

He was knocked down and concussed by a Whyte head-butt. Instead of losing a 10-8 round, he should have had 5 minutes to try and recover.

Yes. And he also had 11 more rounds to do something about it. He waited until it was too late. Had he been aggressive from the start, maybe he would have KOed Whyte. But then again, maybe Parker would have gotten KOed too
