Damn sure could. That's just the surface for that guy.

The chase ends in California where Yankee was murdered by the Vigilance Committee. An organized vigilante gang that controlled california before the Union or state could.

The most interesting thing about it is you're told the western stories about cowboys coming into saloons and clearing them out with only their fists is just Hollywood story telling not truth. In fact there were prisons and such nonsense in the west blah, blah, history class bull****. Yankee Sullivan cleared bars with just his fists. From the north east to Cali. Why go to Cali? Less chances of running into johnny law. There's quite a lot of truth when it comes to men going west to avoid civilization and clearing out bars with no weapon at all. I wonder if these historians just discount the wealth of newspapers from the 19th century. Yankee wasn't alone, he was just the most popular until John L. did something very similar. The only untrue bit about cowboys clearing bars is it wasn't cowboys, it was boxers.

I remember my Dad watching Hagler-Leonard but I would have to say Mike Tyson’s destruction of Michael Spinks. I would also say Holyfield’s fights with George Foreman and then Rid**** Bowe.

I think I was watching the history of Ali vs Foreman with my dad on a Saturday night and he was explaining everything to me.

Lennox pummelling Mike Tyson sealed for me and I became a fan.

Growing I had an uncle that did some local boxing when he was young and watched a lot of fights. A lot of Tyson fights and the 1992 Olympics when I was little got me into boxing.

                      Nigel Benn vs. Gerald McClellan

I remember watching it when I was a kid on ITV with my Dad, he said that G-Man was a killer and would deal with Benn early.

I remember being so elated after Benn won but I was too young to understand the aftermath.
