I don't really know where Martin is at these days, he's always had at least some talent but mentally the guy is not all there.

Whyte has his limitations, but I don't write him off for the bad moment he had vs Povetkin, it's heavyweight boxing, Whyte fights hard fights a lot and at some point you are gonna get caught, unless you are rocky Marciano.

Wouldn't mind seeing the fight, both can talk.

Rocky did get caught quite a few times and was extremely lucky he fought at a time he was able to get away with winning a belt when the giants and bigger better young athletes were not there missing out on Patterson and Liston .

in that interview Eddie is clearly pointing out that his priority is with fighters under contract with Matchroom, so he won't put his own money (or what dazn pay matchroom) for such fighs. It's basically eddie asking dazn to pay extra for extra fights

they aren't broke, they're just getting smarter because they have the best data analysis ie they look at numbers and the market condition. They will only offer what it's worth. Mikey Garcia vs prograis is a great fight, im sure the pair of them will hold out for maximum, which means they'll wait for Triller to make their offer. Dazn will play hardball.

Say what you will about Whyte but he has built a name fighting more top 10 guys than anyone else in the division. Charles Martin isn't in anyone's radar who has big plans.

Its funny... Everyone always talking about boxing fans and not in flattering ways. But, if you were to look at consensus on this forum and others, boxing fans usually get it right on who will win big fights, etc... I say this because boxing fans seem to understand (the bolded) certain truths that should be self evident, better as a group, than as discreet individuals.

Martin and Whyte both had a shot at a top dog... Whyte showed some heart, Martin showed that boxing fans are right not to care a lot right now. There are prospects that need to make a stake, and there are the guys like Whyte, Martin, Ortiz, Povatkin, Parker, Chisora... who are all sort of gatekeeper level but in this present division are scrutinized and distinguished and it is amusing to say the least.

The division desperately needs the top three to sort things out! then we can decide who deserves a shot at the fallen...! I look at Ruiz and Usyk, as exceptions to the above. Lets see how Usyk does against Joshua! Ruiz beat a top dog... simple right?
