I would respect him more if he retires, it's absolute madness if he continues fighting, you can't escape brain damage if you're a professional boxer, and he's been at it for 20+ years! He's made millions, he should be able to retire comfortably. If he's broke, then it's his own fault, have no sympathy for multi millionaire athletes who go broke after retirement.
