Ring generalship embodies a fighters performance.
I reference the DLH vs Tito fight often. It's a perfect example of ring generalship.
DLH went in there and did what he wanted, when he wanted.
He reduced Tito to a 1 punch throwing desperado. No one has done that to him prior.

Another example would be Cal vs Lacy
It was a thing of beauty.

May vs Nelo another example.

RG is an added bonus. A way of crediting a fighter for superlative display of professionalism. Taking away your opponents best weapons and rendering him almost unqualified to be in the same ring.
