Jose Lopez Shocked By Marvin Sonsona's Raw Power

Last Friday in Ontario, veteran Jose Lopez was unseated by the next big thing in the Philippines, undefeated Marvin Sonsona. The 19-year-old Filipino took the WBO super flyweight title from Lopez with a twelve round unanimous decision. Lopez was very surprised by the raw power of Sonsona. [details]

Carita sounds like a classy dude, no excuses and gives Sonsona his due credit.
Props to Sonsona in becoming the youngest Filipino champ in history.

I am happy to hear that Lopez would like a rematch.

I hope Sonsona gives him that rematch, I think it would be an even better fight since both know eachother better not.

You could tell before the announcement that Lopez knew he lost the fight so its all good.

Was this an optional defense? If it was, Lopez and his team are dumbasses for not having a mandatory rematch clause in the contract.

Wish Carita lopez the best of luck in his future. Looks like Sonsona is the real deal when it come to pwer. After hearing Caritas opinion of Sonsonas raw power, the Darchinian uification does not sound so crazy.

You must be at the summit of pessimism. I have never read a post that you have anything positive to say about anybody. Damn!

You haven't read enough. Ever since Forrest died, I purposely don't **** on fighters. If you have a problem with the truth though, you will have a problem with my posts.

It's good to see how humble he is and unusual it was to see a pro boxer admit what he admit to, but what most stuck out to me was the fact that his team hung him out to dry.

If this was an optional defense, Lopez' team should have put a rematch clause in the contract and unless they got paid extra for it, it was dumb move.
