Most people also had him losing to Lara. There's that. He had already aged GGG out then he aged him even more before giving him a rematch. Floyd has never been the underdog because he separated himself from the rest of the boxing world. Who could he have realisticlly fought that would that would have been favored. Floyd beats everyone while Canelo has struggled to separate himself. He could easily have three loses right now if it weren't for biased judging. Notice he ain't talking about Charlo or the top guys at 168 or 175. He's fighting the guys he's supposed to beat.

      Uh, what?

He's unifying all the the belts at 168 and is considering a Bivol fight as well.

Oh so now he cares about belts? Sorry not buying it. That's his excuse to put off the tough fights. He's vacated belts in the past to avoid tough fights and he'll do it again

If he unifies all the belts at 168 then he's the best at 168. Period.

That's a big if. I'll give him props if he doesn't vacate and then run away the way he has in the past.

Alvarez a great fighter. I don’t think he’ll end up as great as manny though let alone Floyd

Floyd and manny have more ability than Alvarez

How the heck is that a big “if” when an agreement has already been reached.
In January of 2021 Canelo was pretty clear that he was looking to unify the 168 division. He then did exactly what he set out to do - picked one belt after another a d only one is left.
Hos in the world do you come up with IF?

My bet is, even after he unified the division, I doubt you’d still find something positive to say about him.

                  Without doubt.

Off topic slightly but I think Gonzalez should be on that list somewhere too.

But yes, overall interest in him did wane noticeably in recent years. That said, even his worst PPVs would be the best for a guy like, well, Terence Crawford. No disrespect to Crawford btw.
                    | came across as pretty rude...I just had enough.....Ive been watching him since the Ledwaba fight and through the ups and downs and so on.

It is like watching Kiss, doing their last farewell tour, with half the original band and most of my hair has gone.

I would rather at this point watch Nonito.

Nah you're fine, and I get it. You're far from the only one whose interest waned in Manny. After the JMM KO and Floyd loss, the interest in him went down sharply (and the PPV numbers reflected that).

I was just speaking from my own experience.
