I was going thru and making my own score cards for old fights and ran across Pac/Morales I. The tremendous feeling that I got from the opening introduction was fueled by the possibility of extreme violence. It made me say hmmm thats why people dont support Mayweather like they should. When Floyd fights I dont get that type of feeling. Dont get me wrong I love to watch him fight because Im a "studentofthegam" but for the casual fan the threat of shear violence is attractive. Housewives will cringe but cant turn completely away. As a die hard Money May fan I realized I would also like to see more violent confrontations. There were times in the DLh fight when he could have landed 10 punch combos but he gave too much respect. Mayweather fans do you feel the same way? Mayhaters would that be enough to give him the credit he deserves (more violence)?

He's just an intelligent fighter and people don't like it. He's gonna be 60 years old and in perfect health(no offense to Ali).
A lot of boxing fans just want to see Floyd get hurt and or lose, that's how they will be satisfied. He could go out there and knock everyone out in the first round and it won't matter.

He embarrassed and TKO'ed a prime, undefeated, Diego 'Chico' Corrales Ffs and he's still hated.

Yeah you may be right, it may not matter. I dont want him to change into a brawler. If you watch his fights you know when hes got'em. He starts poppin 'em on the head with that lead right then smiles. I would just like him to atleast make it a three punch combo more often.

Did you watch the entire fight? Did you see a certain self proclaimed G.O.A.T cheering his ass off in the front row? He does it again for MP VS EM 2. As soon as pacquiao starts being a threat to his p4p status he starts slagging the guy. As for the oscar fight. when i saw it i was pissed at the fact that the last 10 seconds of the 12th round mr. counterfeit cash starts engaging oscar. As if to make up for the 11 rounds of tentative sparring session. Look at mr.counterfeit cash's face after the oscar bout, he had a swollen hump in his left eye brow. Oscar's face had not a mark on it.

Youre just runnin your mouth again. He sat down on plenty of punches in that fight that rocked Oscars head back. I just wish it had been 2 or 3 at a time.

but my argument on that stuff is always "size". Thats why I dont think its fair to judge Floyd the normal way. Size wise, why should Pac fear EM, MAB, JMM, or whoever. Meanwhile, Floyd is fighting guys who outweight him by 20 pounds in the ring and even more then that naturaly. It changes everything. Thats something I never understand that people dont get. Dont tell me that Floyd wouldnt fight totally different if he had stayed at LW for a few years and just moved up to 140 to finish his career. Look at his fights with guys like Gatti & N'Dou. Both of them were bigger then him but the size was comperable enough that Floyd didnt feel like he was physicaly outgunned. If he came into the ring at WW at 159 pounds or more like the rest of them then he would be letting his hands go and would be exciting also.

Thats why it upsets me when people talk about how exciting guys liike Pac & JMM are. I saw Floyd fight Zab & Baldy and come into the ring at 146 pounds and then I saw Pac fight EM in there 2nd fight at SFW and he came into the ring at 146 pounds. Now you tell me that these guys arent going to fight differently when they are weighing the same thing but one guy is fighting a SFW and the other guy is fighting a WW and a guy who should be at Jr MW? Put Floyd in with guys his own size and he will put on a show. Its that simple to me and thats what you will see against JMM and against Pac if they fight.

Youre right from a hardcore boxing point of view. But the casual fan wants blood. I dont want to see him get hit more but I think he could knock a lot more guys out and shut these haterz mouths up.

American fans aren't behind him because he doesn't want them to be. He's made his fame by playing a heel character that inspires hatred. True fans of boxing can, and do, appreciate technical boxing. But a man who wants to be scorned while in character is going to be. It has nothing to do with his boxing style.

Muhammad Ali was also hated but later on he became loved while he was still fighting.

This isn't wrestling, how someone could dislike someone because of their outside persona is beyond me.
