The beautiful things about this is whether Top Rank get Crawford a fight or not, they have to pay him his remaining 3 plus million left on his contract come October. If I was Crawford (or Porter), I'd let this go to purse bid...you know Haymon, Hearn & Triller will bid like crazy for this fight.

And Crawford will get paid twice, once from the purse bid winner (if it's not Top Rank) and second from Top Rank who has to honor the remaining financial of his contract once it expires in October.

No they are only “required “ to bid 200k, to satisfy Buds purse they will have to supplement anything below 3 million

I think this fight happens. PBC is probably where Crawford ends up anyways, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them bid big on this. People say Crawford doesn’t sell, but he’s literally never had someone PPV worthy since being at 147. People have been waiting years for Bud to have a big matchup, seems like this will probably sell.

I hope this fight happens to. In my humble opinion I think Porter is being served up good and proper, as part of a behind the scenes deal to lure Crawford away from TopSkank. This is to prove to Bud there serious about signing him and allowing him to fight all there top guys.

Hearn didn't even bid on Canelo/Plant. So how is he going to bid on Porter/Crawford? DAZN allowed Alvarez to fight on a different platform other than their own for crying aloud. Something that would never be tolerated by Al Haymon.

It's a bit different as Canelo/Plant didn't actually go to purse bid, but I get what you mean. However, Canelo's purse alone is worth more than Crawford/Porter. Maybe Canelo/Plant was too expensive for DAZN, but maybe Crawford/Porter isn't.

If all it takes for this fight to not happen is for PBC to lose the bid, then that speaks volumes for how politics keep fxcking up the sport.

I dislike Hearn for the reasons stated above. Again, if he was actually trying to promote good fights, I'd have no problem with him. Instead, he promotes an app he touts as the 'American Takeover,' and charges us $20/mo for fights like Dillan Whyte-Jermaine Franklin. Maybe in the UK, fights like that fly. Get his nuts out of your mouth. He's a sh..it promoter.
