Did you think (or believe) the Hopkins blow on Delahoya really did that damage?

It's kind of hard to discuss the sport with you.
Sparring sessions are supposed to be more controlled, when a guy starts bleeding most would stop the session there, Pacquiao on the other hand did it with one shot.

So when did getting a bloody nose in sparring become this big deal? You can get that from a jab.

No, but thats different, the Pacquiao bodyshot was fucking thunderous compared to that tap to the ribs.

That is not the case. Do you spar?

Mayweather's camp is notorious for their unusual sparring methods. 9, 2, 15 minute rounds. No bell, Etc. Fresh guys rotating in and out.

Edouard, Jantuah and baldomir have described the sparing.

Yeah I spar, watch when someone is really hurt they would tell the attacking fighter to cool it. Have you sparred???

So, the Pacquiao shot with 16 oz gloves was "thunderous", but a shot from Hopkins with 8 oz gloves on a huge PPV was faked.

                I see.

Two very different situations, when has Hopkins knocked somebody out from a bodyshot like that?? Where Pac is known as a very heavy puncher either to the head or to the body.

Yes, I have sparred. And i have been in gyms where high-level guys are sparring.

And, as a sparring partner, the best way to get sent home is to ask the big dog to back off. If a champ wants good sparring, and you are asking him to back off, he doesn't need you.

Mayweather is supposed to 'go easy" in sparring because some scrub is bleeding?

For all we know most of this could be set up by HBO themselves just to keep people interested.
I think i'd have to see the full tape of the days work out before I pick.
