I am sure Plant was holding out for more money, since he has what Canelo wants and without it Canelo could never call himself undisputed….he held out for the maximum amount possible, knowing he is probably going to lose this fight …so good for him, his retirement fund!

I agree, Plant had nothing to do with this deal. It was a Godnelo and Haymon deal.

Hayonmites have been going on and on how Haymon is going to bring Godnelo on over to PBC. But Fact is Haymon wasnt dealing with some scrub, he was dealing with Godnelo. He thought he could sway him with a 40 mill purse and prolly some other bullshht that we will never see in the contract.

Fact is, getting Godnelo on your squad means giving him everything he wants to show him that they will be about him. That bullshht they tried to pull in the beginning wasnt going to work, and that painted Haymon into a corner to make him do right by Godnelo if he ever wants him on his team and make this fight happen.

It's still not official though. Still to be sorted is if PBC can get assurance of Canelo commitment after Plant fight and I don't think he wants that. I'll wait until it's official until I look forward to it. I do hope it happens though.

" Additional terms have yet to be revealed regarding Alvarez commitment to PBC ". So this isn't signed yet and I don't think Canelo wants to commit to PBC. I'll not get to excited just yet. However I do hope this fight happens. It's good for the sport.

I noticed all the Canelo haters on here saying this fight is trash, Canelo is going to knock Plant out in less than 4. I'm assuming they state this and it doesn't happen, they can then say Canelo sucks!! Or whatever they want to claim. If Canelo knocks Plant out in less than 5 rounds, that speaks to Canelo's skills, not that Plant sucks. This is a good little match up, I fully expect Canelo to win by late round stoppage or unanimous decision especially if Plant does not engage a ton, Plant has enough boxing skills to give Canelo some rounds and win a few. It should be a good one regardless.
