The fail safe like a purse bid are in-place to keep the integrity of the sport in-place, and if we allow fighters to dismiss it and shrug the requirements of the sanctioning bodies they are ranked to than theirs is no more control over the sport and boxing is just a glamour show. Where a fighter is matched with another fighter based on non boxing criteria.
The 60/40 split is fair no matter what way it cuts because no one is making outrageously more money than the other. Their was plenty of time to hash out details and stuff like that that but that couldn't happen so this is the route outlined in the rules so this is where we are at.
I understand you cannot make a fighter fight if he doesnt want to fight but come on, we know what is at play here and its not the boxers its the boxers owners (Haymon, Arum) who are playing some war chest games with their fighters as pawn for their own organization gain. So if the figthers go along with it, with as fans must "CANCEL" them and what does that mean and how it looks IDK but its shockingly amazing how fans support and even root for these type of fall outs.
