A lazy alcoholic Broner went 12 rounds with Pacquiao. A retired Thurman arguably beat him. Jeff Horn beat him. One knockout against a washed fighter in 8yrs. No disrespect to Pacquiao but I don’t think he puts fear in any fighter heart like Canelo. I think it would be extremely dumb for Spence to duck him. Also the pre fight physical has nothing to do with the fighters. They are trained to find issues. The first test they do is an eye test basically following a finger or object with your eyes. They found a retina tear in Errol but they didn’t find Pacquiao shoulder injury. Not a Spence fan but the only person who lied about an injury for a fight is Pacquiao.

The WBC sanctioned Spence vs Pac as a fight for their world championship belt, but Spence is unable to defend his belt because of a newly-discovered injury. This is a genuine instance of when there should the possibility of an interim champion. The champ is temporarily unable to defend his championship for a reason beyond his control.

So, of course, the WBC just tell Spence to sit on the belt as long as he wants, even though we don't know for sure if he'll be able to return or when.
