Fulton is going to smash the pretty boy. I hope my guy Roman can beat Aleem.

I don’t mean shafted in terms of the cards like a robbery, I mean in terms of the way DAZN/Matchroom released him after the fight, it was like they took his belts and ran.
I don't think he was shafted, but hated how there was such little demand for a rematch. Roman deserved a rematch and there never was talks of one.
I think the winner of Fulton/Figueroa fight one of their mandatories and then the winner of Roman/Aleem. Unfortunately I don't see the MJ fight happening anytime soon for either Fulton or Figueroa.
Unfortunately I agree, can’t see it happening anytime soon myself mate. I hope MJ doesn’t get frozen out.Comment

Oh yeah, totally agree there. Clearly MJ was the guy they were more invested in and wanted to win.

Shame, but honestly there are better fights for Roman at PBC. The Aleem fight is a hell of a fight and then if he wins, he will be in line to face the winner of Fulton/Figueroa in 2022.
There is also Nery at 122 and I know he lost to Figueroa, but he is still a player in the division as well as Leo. Just keep mixing and matching all these guys and you will be guaranteed to get top level match ups.Comment

I’m hoping they match the Roman-Aleem winner with the victor in the main event. I assume that’s the plan tbf and yeah Nery can definitely come again, it will be interesting to see how they match him following his loss.

Only thing I worry about are the mandatories? Fulton won the WBO in early 2021, so after Figueroa, if they want to make the Roman fight, it has to be done right afterwards or else they will call the mandatory by early 2022. So I guess there is a little period where they can make the Fulton/Figueroa winner vs Roman/Aleem winner.Comment

I have a feeling that if Roman wins he’ll eventually become the WBO mandatory. Conlan is #1 in the ratings but he’s just won the WBA interim strap at 126, I get the feeling TR/MTK are looking to make Conlan vs Wood at 126 for the regular title, so I think it’s quite likely he passes on his mandatory shot at 122. Roman is #2 in the ratings so I imagine he’ll be inserted in Conlan’s place as the mandatory challenger at 122.

A lot of moving parts, so I could be completely wrong, but that’s my instinct on how this all unfolds.Comment

I have to agree. AJ, Whyte, and Warrington got rematches after getting ktfo.
