I've heard this a lot regarding the fight; but I'm not sure I agree. You have one fighter who is coming forward and trying to engage in a generally accepted way of fighting, while the other is literally running away, and yet we put equal onus on the aggressor for not being able to stop the other from running away. I just don't buy that.
This isnt to write that being a stick and move fighter is wrong; but Rigo wasn't sticking and moving, he was moving and moving, and running away. Its akin to a fighter who turns his back on the opponent and refuses to engage.Comment

Rigo ran far too much, but there is a certain artistry to dodging so well that your opponent spins into the ropes when they miss.
I thought Rigo landed the more authoritative punches, though it was frustrating that he threw so few. You could tell they got Casimero's respect though by the way Casimero was reacting to every flinch.
Casimero's most damaging punch was straight to the back of the head in round one, followed up with more illegal punches as Rigondeux was on the canvas. A point should have been deducted.
I don't have any problem with the judge who scored it for Rigondeux. I struggle to see how the other judges found so many rounds for Casimero when the general pattern of most rounds was him missing a lot and (very) occasionally getting hit clean with counters.
Certainly wouldn't have hurt for the ref to have directed them to actually engage.Comment

Tim Cheatham should be banned from judging cause he doesn't know how to judge he's a cheat.Rigo ran far too much, but there is a certain artistry to dodging so well that your opponent spins into the ropes when they miss.
