Good win for Franco, guys like Israel Gonzalez and Alejandro Barrios would make for fun opponents

3 fights, Franco has legit won 2 of them.

            Time to move on.

Outside of Rigo being robbed and another disgusting job on Showtime commentary, great night of fights. It was funny to hear Mares talk trash about Rigo when he is younger and far more damaged to the point he can't fight anymore. Ortiz impressed in a hell of a fight and Franco left no doubt in a tense trilogy.

I must have watched a different fight. The article title, Cards and commentary don't reflect how close this 12 rounder really was. I throught Maloney edged it by 2 rounds? Am I the only

I missed a lot of this fight because I was captivated by the Rigo fight.

But the rounds that I saw (later rounds) seemed to have some very strange commentary. The commentators would only acknowledge Franco’s work even when Maloney had some extended periods of successful offence. There was a round where Franco looked like he was taking a breather and was getting hit a lot, but nobody said a thing. They just kept praising Franco. I don’t know, maybe Franco did so well in the first half of the fight that the commentators were still clinging to his nuts? I know sometimes it takes a bit of time for them to catch up to what is currently happening in the ring.

Maloney took the majority of the early rounds and it was Franco that came on stronger down the stretch. The commentary team, particularly Tim Bradley created a narrative that wasn't all there imo. Frnaco had success but Maloney had just as much, if not more with all the clean body work.

                      Newsflash.
                      Top Ranks fighter is Maloney.
                      Golden Boy’s is Franco.
Im supposed to believe Top Rank robbed their own fighter to reward a Golden Boy fighter.

You guys can't score for s**t, Baloney Maloney got beat the f**k up.
