You can't force someone to fight you. Ortiz will stick around fighting journeymen until Haymon throws him in for another few rematches with Wilder on PPV. PBC just can't afford to let Wilder's only credible win fight anyone who is a threat.

That was for the secondary mando ,Ortiz turned down millions to fight Whyte at the 02 but then fought Cojanu the same. night . Ortiz also left Matchroom last fight contract when they proposed a Whyte fight in 2016 so he’s been avoiding Whyte for years . Whyte turned down the last offer because the WBC wasn’t recognizing that fight as a final elimination bout ,Whyte had already secured his position there so good try .

It's looking sad for Luis Ortiz. Two premiere networks FOX and Showtime can't provide him fights.
Don't even know why he has to wait for outside offers. It's an embarrassing state to be in.

Showtime probably wants nothing to do with him. It didn't make sense for Espinoza to cover the
Wilder/Ortiz 2, apparently they wanted too much money.

How anybody can’t see Whytes point of view regarding the WBC situation is beyond me, they clearly made Dillian Whyte specific hoops for him to jump through.

Put it this way did they make Szpilka, Breazeale, Washington etc fight Ortiz to get a shot at Wilder.

Luis Ortiz Accepts Dillian Whyte's Offer To Fight on 12/22 in UK
Last week top heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz responded to comments that were made by his rival Dillian Whyte to Sky. “I offered to fight Ortiz years ago, but he didn’t want to know. He didn’t even want to know this summer and asked for silly money coming off his knockout loss to Wilder, and made it clear that he wouldn’t be ready for July 28, which was the date we had available,” said Whyte.

Hearn is broke doe. Showtime and Fox need to step up and make the same offers to Whyte.
Whyte is a free agent. He'll be glad to accept offers outside of Hearn.

It's amazing that there are 6 pages of debate on Whyte and Ortiz. I admit to being guilty in adding my own takes (and I don't like either fighter TBH). I guess both are polarizing for some reason or another.

For me, the hot button is Ortiz. Sure he has some solid boxing skills (and that's not a given with HWs) but his stamina is terrible. He's good for half a fight tops. He's had opportunities over the years and he's blown them by looking putrid (Allen, Scott) to turning down a title fight with a large purse (AJ).

His own promotion feeds him inferior fights (Kauffman, Hammer, Cojanu, Flores) for a reason. Do you really think all of the other PBC fighters are afraid of him?

Why is it that he can't get relevant fights with fighters in his own promotional stable?

However Whyte has shown a willingness to get in the ring against guys who pose a threat to beat him. I give him that much.

I can't even give Ortiz that. I'm supposed to believe the guy who looked atrocious against David Allen, Malik Scott and Christian Hammer is the same guy that everyone is afraid to get in the ring with?

I jumped in this fray not to defend Whyte but because I think it's laughable to think that anyone is ducking King Kong Ortiz.
The bolded is what it all comes down to and why the notion that Whyte is ducking Ortiz of all people is laughable.

To me the question is why Luis Ortiz keeps accepting Dillian Shyte's challenges. And why Dillian Shyte keeps finding ways to back out and avoid actually fighting him.

You posted an article where Ortiz’s own manager admits he doesn’t want him to take it.

Team Ortiz are as full of **** as anybody.

Jimenez said, “if not Whyte I would like Luis to face Kubrat Pulev or Alexander Povetkin next.”

They picked Travis Kauffman, typical team Ortiz, tease a good fight then fight a can.
