Losing efforts prove nothing. Ortiz has no resume.

It's not athletics. You don't record a good time when you come second in boxing.
There is no way I could disagree with that more. I respect the living hell out of boxers who step up, win or lose. There are all kinds of "name" boxers who do it against no one and act like they are owed. Matter of a fact, it is an epidemic in boxing right now. That Ortiz went after Wilder - and yes turned down the Joshua money to get his rematch- twice and came up short only means the man had stones enough to do it. I do like Ortiz. I like his fighting style and that he not only is sound in mechanics he also throws punches. I also get he does not have much on his resume to set him apart. But those fights against Wilder were great, as was his effort. He came to win. Won near every round except the three he got dropped in. I think it is to be respected.

Now I wish he was more active. There are tons of "B" level names he should easily beat that he is not even trying for. But the idea losses are always bad is silly. In boxing, who you fought does matter.

Those are good points. And the fact Ortiz has no real "fans" is 1/3 of his problem. He brings very little with him as far as ratings. Honestly, at this stage of his career I feel more people step up to him if he brought more interest.

^^^^ This…. He was absolutely dumb. Thinking he would just be fighting tough competitions, when others always consolidate their position.

You see Hunter ducking Hrgovic to take on Z-level competition, you see Fury fighting Wallin and Tom before Wilder 2, you see Wilder facing Breazeale and Ortiz before Fury, even Ruiz went after Arreola rather than fight Whyte for 4/5m.

Now he is learning, he would fight bums until he gets his WBC shot. And honestly I don’t blame him right now, not after getting KTFO against Povetkin.

Yet he never seems to make the fight to prove it.

Oh no! Jugglenutz doesn't like somebody so Billeau2 should not like them either.

What are you, in kindergarten? That explains you're reasoning skills. Or lack thereof.

Do you still insist that Joshua vs Fury is happening next?

You’re part of the crazy crew with silly Billy on here . Maybe you dint realize it but you and him are taking a beating on this crazy crew thread and who’s in kindergarten again ? You can’t be this uneducated and really read your own posts and think you come across as an intelligent poster ,only you and Silly on here can ignore all the times Ortiz has declined offers .

There you go flip flopping again trying to redirect your what you said . It’s not even a weak division,a division isn’t weak with multiple Olympic champs and national ones ,you really are a lost soul and l Juggs doesn’t even like the guys you associate with on here how about that one ? Ha
yeah it matters...Its the whole basis for why you are such a laughing stock HA! People have opinions and manage to share them constructively. You, the same one who derides others, is the one who always gets it wrong... you see the irony here? I doubt it, I mean... No offense but you are dumb as a fence post. I know there is nothing you can do about that... But you simply must get it through your head that the last thing you should be doing is calling others ******...

lets try to go slowly... You said that the Joshua fight was a sure thing with Fury, you called others ******, kind of like you are doing here... and what happened? That ****** guy Shoulder Roll!!! He was right!!! And this is one of many. You were telling people about contracts and did not know what consideration is in a contract... You make hair brained excuses for AJ, like he had jet lag...
Now you are crazy because you keep doing the same thing, expecting a different result... Life doesn't work that way... sorry.

Still trying to get a friend I see.... lol pathetic HA! little boy, men do not act like children: they can disagree, and associate with whom they like... Your like in 5th grade lol. Your so desperate... Its a shame... shoulder wrecked you... (tear starts to form in his eye) Its so sad! (grabs tissues and bon bons)... HA!! I take guilty pleasure kicking you around... But its so much fun.... And Shoulder did wreck you...have you tried therapy?

Whyte Warns: Luis Ortiz is Old Man - I'd Leave Him in a Bad Way!
British heavyweight Dillian Whyte (23-1, 17 KOs) is still gunning for a world title crack at WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs). Whyte is the WBC's number one ranked contender. The sanctioning body recently ordered Whyte to take part in a final eliminator with Cuban puncher Luis Ortiz (28-1, 24 KOs).

Whyte vs Ortiz would be an interesting fight but the fact is Whyte has been much more active and taking on top competition. Not a Dillion fan but I admit he at least deserves another title shot and not have to face other contenders that aren't as active or don't take on the level of competition he does.

Dillian Whyte has zero need to face Luiz Ortiz.

Whyte may not be my favorite fighter, but you cannot deny his resume 'As I have said before? His resume is ranked in the top-3 at heavyweight'.

I think I said... I absolutely respect them, but there's no ranking credit in a losing effort.

For Ortiz there was no loss of status in losing to Wilder. I'll happily disregard that and judge him on his wins. And that's where his resume falls down.

I'll stand by my statement "It's not athletics. You don't record a good time when you come second in boxing."

If, for example, someone takes Canelo to a close points decision, that won't make them number 2 P4P. There are no good losing scores. You win or lose.

In boxing, it just means they have some matchmaking value, but it's their wins that will define their ranking.
