I have a hard time believing this will make any changes whatsoever. I respect that they are publicly speaking on the subject but not sure it goes any further than this. A deadline to correct the issues would be a sure sign we will move in the right direction.

      Wow! Finally someone...
Also nice to see ABC has quite strong tools at their disposal.
Getting rid of Mendoza would be very welcomed for a starter.

Yes, one champion per weight, no exceptions.

With one mandatory per 12 months.

No rematch clauses for championship fights.

Don’t just stop with WBA. All of these commissions need to be kept in check. The sport needs to be cleaned up. Proper matchmaking. More mandatories. Proper rankings. Officiating. Judging. Let’s police boxing and make this sport, an ACTUAL SPORT! Not some circus where the fat cats control the sport. Using boxers like puppets on a string while they make millions!

TURN BOXING INTO THE SPORT IT SHOULD BE!!!

Organized crime moved from controlling fighters to the sanctioning bodies. They don't need to control the water, if they can control the faucet. I wouldn't be surprised if the WBA threatened to end participation in the Association of Boxing Commissions or simply ignore their toothless ultimatums.

I think that IBF's #1and #2 spots are reserved for mandos and eliminator winners, which gives a good overview of which champ has mando or not.

They also have the most mismatches of ALL. U need me to name a few??? Here's one just announced.

International Boxing Federation has ordered current unified junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo to defend his belt against Bakhram Murtazaliev.

The sport needs a commission, an organization or league with hard rules. John McCain, and the former speaker of the house Harry Reid both showed interest in organizing a commission before dropping out and never mentioning the subject again.
