That sh@t aint happening no more. Pacquiao fights for another 7 years until the 2028 presidential elections (apparently philippino presidents serve a single 6-year term as opposed to 4-year term here in the US with possible re-election).
The Filipino people do not give a shhht if Pac is fighting Spence, Crawford, or Paulie Malinaggi. Who he’s beats or loses two doesn’t matter to them over there. His popularity is at an all time high when he’s fighting and he’s using his purse for this fight to help fund his presidential campaign.

Pac won’t fight ever again if he becomes president. One of the main reasons he’s continued to fight on is to keep his popularity at a constant high to help his chances at winning the presidency. Once he’s in, he wont have the time to fight.

And according to Buboy, this was supposed to be Pacs last tough fight. He said win or lose vs Spence (now Ugas) the plan is to do a farewell fight in the Philippines before the election.

These quotes from Freddie were taken outta context, he also in the same interview said he wants this to be Mannys last fight if not one more so they can both retire.

Pacquiao better watch out if he's going to run for the presidency in the Philippines. As tough as boxing is, he might get killed running for the presidency. Look at what happened to his relationship with Duterte. They had a great relationship until Pac called out Duterte being a coward towards China and that his administration was corrupt. Even Chavit Singson, Pacquiao's long time super corrupt buddy, is on the outs with Pacquiao because of Pacquiao's desire to run for president.
