Because Pac wants the Spence fight and Spence will be fit to fight in a few months. So Haymon gets 2 fights from Pac instead of just the 1 which Pac was only originally interested in. If the PBC do the same with Canelo and an "injured" plant they got 2 of the sports biggest cash cows fighting twice each under the PBC banner within 12 months even though neither of them are PBC fighters.

It's just an opinion. Everything could be completely above board here. Injuries happen in training all the time, sometimes severe.
