I didn't want to harp on it because I went back and looked at the accident photos and it was his right eye that seemed to take the most damage.

I figured I was making too much of it - but that is coupled with the fact that I think he looked a tick slower in how he was reacting to punches on that side. I think that is why Danny was trying so many right hands in that fight, eventually started to break through late. All I do is repeat this is Spence threads. I was convinced of that very early in that fight so I don't think it was Danny that initiated the damage, but maybe it got worse?

Anyone curious can go back to that first presser and look at his left eye - at the time, I was thinking nerve damage and it could be a David Reid v Trinidad scenario

Maybe it's a new injury that happened in sparring but given what happened to him, I'm skeptical on that but it doesn't matter at this point.....I wish him the best and that he can return. I think boxing needed this fight!

Personally, I don't believe that he knew he had a retinal tear. He was probably asymptomatic or perhaps he did know and went to go get himself checked out.

In any case, I don't believe that the injury was sustained in the Danny Garcia fight or in sparring. It's my personal belief, is that he probably sustained it in that car accident.

If one were to pay close attention to his eyes from the accident photo; Then they would have noticed that both of his eyes were blood shot red.

I am just stating my own personal opinion here. He does have retinal tear or detachment. The part is true. Now how did he get it; Probably no one would ever know or understand?

The fact is there's no way to know but you seem to be pushing this car accident thing. It could be of course but it could be sport related also. There's not much point in speculating as we're not gonna get a definitive answer. Main thing is he heals.
