Two if you know this already and feel he still has not had enough criticism then maybe its because Pac called out Cotto after the Clottey fight. Cotto has not called ANYONE out(its not his style). Not to mention Pac trying to handicap Cotto by making a 147 pound fight at 145 (FOR A BELT!) and doing everything to make it advantageous, for Himself to win. So who the hell is feeling bad for Pac and want to jump on Cottos ass?
Obvioulsy Marquez being the Pound for Pound #2 fighter in world feels he can move up in weight to beat Mayweather. So why is Mayweather getting criticized for something Marquez and his team want to do?....They say they can make the weight and they are going to knock him out........

OP, this is a bad thread because you're using too much logic for the haters. Posters on here hate it when you point out their hypocrisy.

Three of the most durable welterweights of their generation. Now he's fighting the consensus #1 pound for pound fighter, a full blown junior welter at a catchweight. And he's the underdog. That's why.
That doesn't really classify as logic or a valid reason. All opinion, no facts.

At 135, he certainly got tagged a bit more and stunned a couple times. He's also looked as cerebral as ever. I'm not going to make any pre-judgements about him before the fight with regards to weight. Let's see what happens on September 19th.
But he didnt show anything @140 until AFTER he jumped 140 and went right to 147 to fight Oscar, which happens to be a higher weight than what Marquez is fighting at against Mayweather............

Absolutely right. And before he showed anything he was seen as a huge underdog. It shouldn't come as a surprise that people view an older Marquez in the same light. Maybe they're wrong but until we see what he looks like in a couple weeks it's not a terrible assumption.

Cotto does not claim to be the greatest of all time.

It's been done before. The issue was that it was forced by the WBO.
