    HUH?
I don't know about you but Manny Pacquiao looked pretty good stopping a top junior welter in a few minutes, wouldn't you say? Let's put the bias down for a sec. Don't get me wrong, this is the toughest fight of Pac's career. But there's a reason he's the favorite and - like Roger Mayweather, ****m Richardson & co have stated - the biggest mistake a fighter could make is to look at Pacquiao as a little guy. He's not.

My Question is: Why doesnt Cotto get criticized for fighting a Super Featherweight? Why are people bashing Mayweather for fighting a guy the same size that Cotto is fighting? The fact is that Pac has only 1 more fight above Super Featherweight than Marquez. Also Miguel Cotto has fought 8 times above 140lbs (All WW's) & Mayweather has only fought 5 times above 140lbs.........Mayweather only had 3 fights @140lbs and Miguel Cotto had spent his entire career @140lbs before moving up to 147lbs.

I am not opposed to either fight. I love Mega Fights and I am a fan of all 4 fighters, but I see too much criticism towards Mayweather, when Miguel Cotto is doing the same thing....

The reality is both of these fights are catchweight fights........
Well for one its simple, if you think Cotto has not been criticized then you obviously don't spend any time on boxing scene.
Two if you know this already and feel he still has not had enough criticism then maybe its because Pac called out Cotto after the Clottey fight. Cotto has not called ANYONE out(its not his style). Not to mention Pac trying to handicap Cotto by making a 147 pound fight at 145 (FOR A BELT!) and doing everything to make it advantageous, for Himself to win. So who the hell is feeling bad for Pac and want to jump on Cottos ass?

Fighters have always moved up in weight to challenge bigger fighters. Manny Pac b4 DLH never fought @ 147 and was one fight removed from 135...lol..The same situation that Marquez is in....

So why is Mayweather getting critisized?

Mayweather WW who dont fight WWs. Cotto took on the 3 toughest SOBs in and near his division.

FLoyd ducks everyone to fight Smaller guys.

JMM has not fought above 135, Pacquiao has.

Well I think the argument there is that while Pac has already proven himself at 140, and shown to be fairly decent above that, we aren't sure about Marquez yet. At 135, he certainly got tagged a bit more and stunned a couple times. He's also looked as cerebral as ever. I'm not going to make any pre-judgements about him before the fight with regards to weight. Let's see what happens on September 19th.
