Maybe 1 additional fight would be the acceptable compromise. But it depends on what Canelo wants to do after. And if that was 175 for example then it might not appeal to him to fight Charlo or Benavidez.

I've said all along that this was just a negotiation tactic and ploy by Team Alvarez in order to strong arm and squeeze more concessions out of the PBC at the bargaining table. However, it backfired. It didn't work. Al Haymon told Team Alvarez to kick rocks. If I was him I would offer them substantially less money than what I offered them the first time. If this is true, then it's an obvious sign of desperation by Canelo Alvarez. Now it's time for Fox and the PBC to make Ginger crawl and beg for a fight after spurning that original offer of $40M.

Yeah, it's called "leverage." Plant has that belt, and $40 million on the table. Obviously Bivol and Beterbiev don't have something better to offer. I definitely would rather see Benavidez or Charlo instead of Plant, but I guess Canelo does not!

Why are you so supportive of Plant holding the belt hostage?

I'd be in favour of a unifed champ being able to force a holdout like Plant to face the person who holds all the other belts. Why, in the case of a champ trying to unify, should they be made to crawl and beg to try and line up the best fight in the division? It's bizarre to think you like barriers being put up to an undisputed fight.

If PBC is willing to pay Canelo $40 million to fight Plant of all people, they’re either ******ed or extremely desperate to have him on the network.
