As I said these UFC guys just wanna get paid properly, that’s why you see them happily taking L’s to boxers, YouTubers etc.
Bro, did you miss the 600k salary? That # is legit and I’m sorry but a 600k salary should set you for life alone.

Canelo wins with ease in boxing, Usman wins with ease when they're both allowed to use the full extent of their respective skillsets.

So, an elite mma wrestler thinks he can beat an elite boxer at boxing? Yep, makes perfect sense to me!

Is it legit? What’s the source? Forbes or some sh** like that?

Action’s speak louder than words, there’s a reason top MMA fighters are having to fight YouTubers and that reason is they need the money.

Ben Askren went 1-2 in the UFC and was cut.

Anderson Silva is 46 years old, 2-7 since 2013 and was cut from the UFC.

Vitor is 44 and retired in 2018 having won one of his previous 5 fights.

Frank Mir is 42 and also won one of his last 5 fights in MMA.

Woodley is 39 and lost his last 4 fights.

Well most fighters come from broke humble beginnings, and basically don't have much to take care of their families, and you have someone giving you a little taste of some sort of stability, your probably going to take it since there's nothing else available. It doesn't take from the fact Fat Dan is taking advantage of them so he can live it up. I agree UFC fighters need to take more responsibility and band together for a bigger cut.

I don’t blame Usman one bit, claim u could beat Canelo, out ball Lebron, and of course out throw Brady on any given Sunday. I’d say the same **** if I thought it would bring me money
it won’t help though bro, no personality whatsoever along with clear steroid use is unpopular with the masses.

Wouldn’t last more than 3 whole rounds in squared circle with Canelo.

he may get Chavez Jr though if he wants to!
Usman was asked in an interview, and he answered. He is not randomly speaking of Canelo and boxing.

But that part always seems to go over a lot of your heads.

Boxingscene does not write Q and A style articles, so that makes it a bit difficult for a lot of you to put two and two together and deduct that there was an interview conducted. Boxingscene does not even start articles by telling the reader “so and so caught up with Usman and asked a few questions about his future. Read on!”

This would help greatly with the quality of the replies from forum members because it would probably eliminate some comments like “Why is Usman talking about boxing/Canelo?”, “He just wants money!”, and “Man these UFC fighters can’t stop talking about our favorite sport.”

No, you mean these combat sports journalists can’t stop asking MMA and Boxing athletes about the prospect of fighting eachother. Threads like these exposes the people who lack common sense.

Usman can’t beat Canelo and he probably knows it in the back of his mind. Or maybe he really believes he can beat him, which is nothing wrong with that.

But, he is a great striker as well. He has one hell of a chin, something you need vs Canelo for starters. So he at least has that going for him. I was amazed at the shots he was taking from Covington. And Covington could not take Usman’s for long as he got his jaw broken. As far as his punching ability goes, he actually looks very good from what I saw. Very good stance, straight punches, nothing wild or crazy swinging. Tucks his chin, shoulders up, hands up in front of his face. Leg positioning looks good. First time I saw him “boxing” in the Octagon, I figured he primarily trains as a boxer and uses it in MMA. When I found out his strength is actually wrestling, I was a bit surprised. It is no wonder he is so successful in UFC. The guy can do both above average, wrestle and striking.

Now of course, his boxing is no where near as good as Canelo’s. Especially the amount of power you need to put behind those 10oz gloves. It would be a tough transition to go from 4oz to 10oz.

Silva beat the brakes off of Chaves Jr. so anything is possible.
