Pfft lol. What a casual fan you are.

small sparring video with no context.
if you actually hit the gym and trained with boxers you would know that boxers can do rounds and rounds and be very fatigued against other boxers who are fresh as a daisy.

it’s sparring mate. Wouldn’t put too much thought into it.

and this is coming from someone rooting for pacquiao

Based on their styles and stages of their careers. Pacquiao better find a way to get through that high guard early as Spence comes forward with his jab or its going to be ugly for him.

I just hope that if Manny loses, there won't be any excuses about injury, ring rust, or age! Just be gracious, and give Spence his due!

Man, this fight is so intriguing because Pacquiao is old as fck and past prime, but the match still has a vibe to it like the outcome is unknown. Despite Spence being favored, it still has an “unknown” vibe to it. And Spence being favored just feels like it’s protocol to have him favored. Like he is favored by default to Pacquiao’s age and inactivity. Not because of his ability.

Just like when it was always protocol for odds makers to make every Bernard Hopkins opponent the favorite due to his age and Hopkins fights, here and there, looking like he should retire. For example some thought Hopkins-Calzaghe could have been given to Hopkins but at the same time, Hopkins looked old. So the odds were against him in his next fight vs Pavlik, who was young, prime, and looking good in the eyes of many. Roach even refused to train Hopkins vs Pavlik and told him he will get hurt badly and to retire. Everyone was telling Hopkins to retire or he is going to get hurt. Then old ass Hopkins schooled Pavlik. I personally could not believe that almost the entire boxing community had Hopkins as the underdog and predicted Pavlik would win by KO. I was telling everyone who listens, Hopkins will school Pavlik. I remember being all over Youtube videos predicting Pavlik would win, just laughing at everyone because I knew in my head, that everyone was predicting the wrong outcome. Hopkins was going to beat Pavlik’s ass and I knew it despite his age. Pavlik was no Calzaghe, Pavlik was no light heavyweight. Boxing fans always tend to disregard weight. Then blame weight after the fact after vehemently denying weight got sht to do with a fight’s outcome.

Admittedly, I will say here, this fight is unknown to me, as far as the outcome. But I lean towards Pacquiao. The reason for this is because I noticed Spence likes to sit back and chill, does not appear to have killer instinct at the top level. His pressure at the top level is also non existent. I also don’t like his defense at the top level. You can not have poor defense at all vs Pacquiao, and you can not take breaks vs him, or have defensive lapses. Pacquiao has a real shot at winning here. I can actually see how Pacquiao has the edge here, despite his age. If he has been busting his butt in the gym, removing all that rust from 24 months of not being in a pro fight. If Spence wins, it will not be easy at all. I think Spence is in for a fight here. He will need to earn a hard fought decision here. And I have a very strong feeling the fight will be close either way. We are going to have to see the warrior version of Spence like we saw vs Porter.

I just don't want any excuses I'd Spence choose to box and wins. Can't on one hand bring up how great a fighter Manny is then whine when his opponent chooses not to fight his fight

Spence and his team are too smart to just stand there and give Manny every opportunity to do something in this fight. Errol has an aggressive style but he's clever with it. He holds all the advantages here and he's going to make sure he keeps it that way.

I think this is just too much for Manny at this stage in his career against such a big and good fighter. Manny is still good enough to beat alot of guys at 147 but Spence is elite level, it's just too much for Manny.

The pressure is on Spence because he is expected to win--he is bigger, younger, etc. Still, Spence is a methodical & disciplined fighter so might not be affected by it all. Should be very exciting & interesting.

That's not a good strategy Manny. The last thing you need to do at your current age of 42 is to get into a firefight with this kid. You will gas early and possibly stopped if you can't hurt or put Spence away.

Try conserving your energy by punching less and moving more. Pick and choose your shots very carefully. You are not 30 years old anymore where you threw more than 1500 punches per fight.

I really hope Manny can keep his work rate high for 12 rounds.
