I hope I'm wrong, but boxing has always been a business first. Gotta protect the bag and Garcia, if he stays winning, is a potential treasure chest for whoever it is/will be promoting him. I highly agree with you that Jojo needs to be that guy to get his shot, but with his skills, speed and southpaw style, he is a potential spoiler that these young guys would most likely want to avoid. Hope you're right and Diaz gets the call. That is a fantastic fight and will definitely elevate the winner onto much bigger business.

We don't know what Garcia's contract with Golden Boy is, but if I were Oscar I'd be wary. Ryan is hanging with Canelo so he's probably getting an ear full of; "to hell with Oscar sign with Canelo Promotions. If I were Oscar I would feed him to Haney, Davis or Loma. Cash him out and send him on his way. Devin beat Ryan twice in the amateur ranks and will definitely school him now. Maybe stop him. Diaz is a tough fighter but I see him getting chin checked by Ryan. Ryan is fast and has power but he's easy to hit.
