    TIA just the nonsense.
Because Dud Crawford is leaving Arum. ?

Because maybe Herring was being tough in the negotiations to fight Shakur Stevenson, and Arum asked the WBO to put some pressure on him?

I mean, when was the last time a challenger got double the purse split as the champion?

There's a reason for the sudden change.

Terence Crawford is leaving Top Rank, so Bob Arum pressured them to mandate a 40-percent split for a rival promoter’s fighter and put himself in a situation where he can lose the fight in purse bid.

In what universe does that benefit Bob Arum?

What would benefit him is having complete control over Crawford’s last fight and matching him against someone from Top Rank to maximize his profit.

Herring is a top rank fighter.

Why would it benefit Bob Arum to have the WBO screw him over on a purse bid?

Its so insane that you made up a conspiracy theory to explain it. Bob Arum clearly hates Jamel Herring now according to you.

The more likely scenario is the WBO screwed Herring over because Bob Arum doesn’t control them.

Arum says he is losing money on Dud.

If a rival promoter ends up paying his purse in his last fight out the door then that is millions that Bob gets to keep in his pocket.

Herring and Shakur Stevenson hadn't been able to sign a deal yet. The WBO orders a purse split heavily in Stevenson's favor and BOOM, suddenly the next thing you hear is that Arum has signed contracts in hand.

He totally owns the WBO, dude. And he uses it not just for ranking his fighters highly but to put pressure on his fighters when needed as well.

        Don't be naive.

No Shane. You’re missing it, as usual.

Crawford being mandated to fight Porter is how Bob screwed Crawford. All before this, Crawford was allowed to defend against mediocre opponents. Only when he signals he will not re-sign with TR does this happen.

Herring is getting screwed on the purse split by Bob. The champ is entitled to the higher percentage. Instead of just making the deal based on the rules, Bob works with the wbo to change purse split to be a function of the last 3 fights.

Bob forced this because he wants to get 3 paydays for himself by making this fight, the bogus Valdez defense, and then hopefully makes the fight we should be getting now, Stevenson v Valdez.

Herring could in theory vacate, move up, and be installed as the mando for the wbo 140 lb tirle( per their rules) and make more tor fighting Taylor than Shakur. Of course Bob isn’t suggesting that ( too bad this isn’t PBC because you guys would be on the Ali Act brigade) even though it benefits his fighter.

It’s really simple so I don’t get how you can’t understand.

              3 facts

Fact #1 Arum can't make the Porter/Crawford fight without offering 40% to Porter. His other choice would be to match Crawford with another non PBC welter and lose money. So the WBO (we're Bob's organization) went along.

Fact #2 Arum has both Herring and Stevenson under contract. In reality, Herring doesn't have a prayers chance in hell of beating Stevenson. Therefore, it's in Arums best interest to line Stevensons pockets not Herrings. So the WBO (we're Bob's organization) went along.

              Fact #3 you're a true idiot.......
