Rigondeaux is not s good as they say.

Lara is the best out of the new cop of cuban fighters by miles!!!!
    Explain why?

Normally the ''a KO waiting to happen'' expresion is used by guys who get knocked down often and manage to pull wins but you get the feeling he will get KO'd soon.

So the expression is very foolish on Rigondeaux since he's never been in trouble.

Thats not what sparring partners are there for.

I hope HE gets KTFO soon
Did you not watch Pacquiao training videos for the Hatton fight? and the reports? He was knocking out sparring partners constantly.

He didn't mean to hurt the kid he just caught him flush, maybe working on countering or something maybe his partner didn't see the punch coming or he just has a really bad chin....

On topic: The one problem with Rigondeoux is his age. Even with all the am experience, he's still nearly thirty years old! That's really late for a guy to be turning pro and hoping to have a great pro career. He's also a little guy which makes it harder for him to keep up as the little guys burn out quicker and at an earlier age.

His huge amateur experience may also even play against him. Having well over 400 am fights can actually completely internalise the three/four round aerobic/anaerobic fitness to the point where he will not be able to redo it for twelve round fights. Many guys with over 200 am fights that were great amateurs have bad stamina problems because their body refuses to retrain to that full 12 round length and still sticks with the four round length because of the amount of time and fights they did it for. We'll see when he has a few 12 round, high pressure fights.

He is so calm the 12 round limit won't be a problem. I've never seen him expend anything apart from to knock someone out cold.

If you think sparring partners are just there to be KTFO then you really know very little.

Some people in NSB are ****ing ******ed
Have you ever seen sparring sessions, real ones, between pro's? **** gets very serious and people get KO'd all the time. Look at what Mayweather does to his sparring partners....

I have said it before and I will say it again. Once **** changes in Cuba, we will see a dominance of Cuban fighters into the pro's....

anyways, i don't think he'll be big in the future, he's 28 going to 29, he's a litte too old to reach it.

on the other hand, you still got lara who is 25, he looks to be the real deal.
