I have to tell you guys about a guy named Demetrius Pattilo. He was an amatuer that I would meet a few times in the ring out of Detroit. This guy was tough. We were fighting over in Canada at an outdoor show. It was on the grounds of a ford plant I believe. Anyway, were fighting and throwing bombs, the both of us. I landed one to his nose at some point and the blood began to flow. This guy would not get off of me. Everytime I would punch him in the nose I could see the grimace of pain and his eyes would water up. That dude never stopped coming after me. I had a good jab and continued to pop him in the nose but he worked through it, pain and all.

At the next show his coach, Levett, would come up and tell me that his nose was broken during that fight. I was amazed at his tenacity, he wanted the fight. We would meet again later in the Golden Gloves and he was the same aggressive fighter. I eeked out a close decision that I honestly thought belonged to him. We would talk at different shows and stuff and become sort of like friends. He was a good guy. Just wanted you guys to know about a guy who definately had some heart, Demetrius Pattilo. I dont believe that he ever turned pro..........Rockin'

No, Mayorga was a glorified tuneup. You were right the first time.

You could say that it was a good match for Trinidad, but still its was a big risk for a guy that was out for two years...

A guy out of the game for two years vs. a guy who was out of the middleweight division for his whole life..

It looks like the majority says it's GATTI . . . and I have no problem with that. I just wanted to mention Williams . . . who showed tremendous heart with his fight against Klitscho . . . the guy was pummeled so many times and yet he refused to buckled down and keeps coming at Klitscho. That's heart for me.

It's a toss up between Etienne, Tyson and Corley.
