To me Kovalev was given a huge check make Canelo looks hero and bust his stock and this fight was fixed (as manny others. remember boxing is a corrupt business first, then entertainment, the sport).

Do any of you have the score cards at the time of the stoppage? It seem that Kovalev was in cruise control until the time of the stoppage.

Canelo is an unbelievable fighter and top 5 in my p4p list but most of his fights have a big asterisk next to them because they always find the bigger names with the lowest risk.

    Two questions:

    1. When was the last time Canelo was involved in a fight where he was the underdog and he won?

    2. When was the last time Canelo was involved in a fight perceived as a 50/50 fight and he won?

There was nothing ¨fixed¨ about that BRUTAL KO, stop saying dumb ****

Fighters who take dives throw themselves to the canvas at the first opportunity with the first pity pat punch that grazes them

They take no damage over rounds, and they certainly don't almost die from a KO and end up in the hospital like Kovalev

See Wilder vs Malik Scott to enlighten yourself in how a proper dive and ¨fixed fight¨ works

Cruise control? pfft. Kovalev was gun shy because Canelo was countering the hell outta him everytime he tried something other than the jab. He couldn't do anything else

The only ¨asterisk¨ about the Kovalev fight is that he took the fight on short notice, and didn't have enough time to recover from the brutal fight with Yarde, and that's exactly what he's bitching about.

Yeah, he wasn't in good condition for the fight, but nobody pointed a gun to his head to sign the contract. He went for the money, and that was the result.

Not interested in seeing a rematch as Canelo has bigger fish to fry, and Kovalev is past prime and should just retire

              1. Let’s add some context: Canelo is in the top-3 p4p so there really isn’t anyone in or around his weight class that he would be an underdog against. I guess you could argue for Beterbiev and maybe Bivol but the odds might still favor Canelo. Top fighters are normally the favorite for obvious reasons

              2. I guess the closest might be Cotto, Lara and perhaps Trout? I didn’t go back and look at the odds but those were close to 50-50 going in as I recall. I had Lara edging him but the fight could have gone either way. I think the Cotto and Trout fights were close but clear wins.

Will Beterbiev fight Canelo at 168? Canelo called out Kovalev and moved up two weight classes.
So, if Beterbiev wants it, just take the fight at 168.

More important, Canelo’s team has expressed interest in that fight once they clean up the 168 so my question for you, will you change your time if Canelo steps up to fight Beterbiev? It’s not like your hate will stop when Canelo fights the guys you want him to fight now, will it?

Well that's interesting because he barely beat trout and cotto. And he lost to Lara and GGG twice and didn't win a ***in round against Mayweather.
