can fearing a hometown decision bring out ur best

I was just watchin the replay of lucian bute and zuniga fight on showtime, and Zuniga's camp was stating, "we are coming for the KO thats the only way you can win in Montreal." However, at no point did I ever see a killer instinct in Zuniga's eyes. It was just interesting to think, many people say hometown decisions are killing boxing, and I believe this is so. Then again, in retrospect knowing a hometown decision is very possible can bring a fighter to bring much more excitement then on neutral ground. It is just a thought with potential fights being fought at fighters home towns. The one fight that comes to mind is the potential clash of Caballero and Juanma apparently that would happen in Puerto Rico..what do you guys think? I mean Carl Froch produced a FOTY in America, and he knew a hometown decision was highly likely

Obviously it can. Fighters know ahead of time that on enemy turf, they gotta put in work, more than they'd normally have to.

He was losing anyways going into the 12th round. And I personally felt the score-cards were pretty right in that fight. Froch had to win by knock-out because he clearly wasn't out-pointing taylor per round.

The only way Froch wins his fights from now on are by knock-out, he has stepped up in level of competition where the fighters he fight now will be outpointing him most of the time. Meaning if he doesn't knock dirrell out in his next fight, he will lose by decision in my opinion. I don't think Pascal is as technically sound as Taylor or Dirrell.

pascal was gassed really..a move up in weight was the right decision he looked good against diaconu..but i think froch will get through dirrell...but he will only really go as far as his power and chin take him..i see kessler easily beating him but u never know with froch

Kessler has question marks on him, I don't think he is invincible and I do believe he can be stopped. Calzaghe hurt Kessler with a body-shot... Everyone knows Calzaghe has pretty bad hands, though he does punch pretty hard at times.

IMO it should make you fight better and try and win by UD with no speculations or KO the guy or simply don't sign the fight. To think that you're going to get robbed or won't bring out your best is self-doubt. There should not even be that thought if you know you can beat him.
