Interesting to hear Danny G saying he's not 100% either when he fought Errol Spence, who claims he's only 70% coming into that fight.

boxers ALWAYS do this. They spin the "best fighter they ever faced" as one of the guys they beat and then claim the guys that beat them just got lucky because they came in injured, had the flu or whatever other excuse.

Of course he ran all night and didnt engage with spence so didnt really take any big shots, only came for a check and to last 12, so he couldnt really compare spence's power to matthsye anyways.

This place was unbearable in the time period beetwen he beat Peterson (February or March 2013) and his fight vs Danny (September 2013).

Dummies on here genuinely believed he'd brutalize Garcia easily and then beat Floyd after.

I would love to ask García if he did not do the rematch because he felt some shots on the ribs that made him think twice.
I think without the "eye-thumb " incident García would've lost that fight.

1. I don’t gravitate toward power punchers.
2. Matthysse‘s popularity was in large part because he wasn’t American. If he were American, a lot of his” fans” would’ve talked more about his weaknesses and shortcomings.
