Well Usyk beat him earlier. A rematch in pro world would be interesting

The most strange fighter I have ever seen. he always looks like he is gonna lose, he is slow, stiff, fails eye test badly...but the next moment you see his opponent quitting down on his knee. This lazy slow punches he throws must really hurt.

So true! I watched his body mechanics on some of the crosses he threw the other night and you can see some real torque going into them. The jabs often look like arm punches but must have some thud on them.

Joyce is just a really weird fighter to watch, athletic but with absolutely none of the visible dynamism that usually marks athletic fighters. He's got good ring IQ and an excellent chin and engine, but IMO he wouldn't get anywhere near Fury, and Joshua and Wilder punch hard enough to crack his chin, good as it is. Whyte or Wallin would be good fights, but I'd like to see the Olympic final rematch with Yoka, who doesn't really seem to be going anywhere ATM

I like Joyce. He has great composure and self-belief. He needs a big fight now. Whyte or Ruiz. Not Chisora.

Joyce needs to a bigger fight quick before he gets shop worn. He can't take too many more of the punches he takes. He gets hit clean too much so he sooner the better for him before he becomes the Jarrett Hurd of the division before he gets a title.

Grown man / world class boxer who’s idol is Beyoncé, and he also does of oil paintings of Ali and Bruce Lee. Oddly I think might not be the best recipe for success when it comes to professional fighting. Then again I’m no professional boxer so what do I know….

I agree with your observations on Joyce. His athleticism is sneaky. It's there but it's hard to see. Whyte or Wallin would be very entertaining bouts and very different matchups.

I like the Yoka idea, based on what I've seen of the Frenchman's last two performances, I think Joyce just grinds him up. In a way, I think the two have alot of interesting contrasts, Yoka looks athletic and powerful but I don't think he has the same durability, engine and perseverance that Juggernaut has.

I forgot to chime in that the author of this piece, Corey Erdman, wrote a really quality piece here. Joyce is indeed an interesting character but Erdman presented the story to us in an enjoyable and flowing read. Good stuff.
