I doubt he fights Loma too. Last time Haney became mandatory Loma became franchise champion. Loma's hoping for a Lopez rematch anyway. Fortuna coming off a loss would be a joke. Commey might be the best option.

I think it’s financial. There is as much money for more winnable fights. That is a real problem when the best fight doesn’t yield the biggest payday.

what also sucks is when a guy like shakur stevenson calls out Oscar Valdez but TR instead makes 2 interim fights rather than the best fight.

Stevenson got a ton of criticism for his last espn fight being boring. Valdez was in a an action fight. Shakur looks to be the favorite over Valdez so Arum makes the business decision to get 3 so so cards instead of 1 great one.

Valdez is more accomplished than Stevenson. Doesn’t Shakur have to fight Herring in that org? We’ll see which champs get dibs for Rahkimov’s coming IBF should he win it. The WBA is Davis?
