Takam genuinely had the crowds respect after his performance. I’d say he deserved another bite at the cherry over Pulev. I can understand the mentality of Joshua and Hearn though. Why rematch someone that he ‘stopped’?

Who wants to fight who is debatable depending on what side you are looking from. And the two he "beat", he just levelled the scores because they too beat him.

The scores aren't leveled. It's boxing, not soccer. Joshua again holds the belts that he did when he gave Ruiz the first fight.

Joshua has beaten everyone he's faced. When he was defeated he rematched and won.

Trilogies don't happen just because it's 1-1 and they need extra time to decide the winner. They happen because there is demand. There is no demand for Joshua v Ruiz 3. Joshua put it to bed.

He deserved respect, but the early stoppage has rewritten history on that fight.

It wasn't a great performance but Joshua won every round. I felt for Takam at the time because he was a chance to finish the fight, which would be an achievement. But would we really want a rematch of that?
