I wish you could understand how ignorant you sound saying this. If you haven't heard of a country - that's nothing to be proud of, get a world atlas. I understand that it might be a figure of speech to make a point, but the point in itself is ignorant and with a racist undertone. GGG was also from a country not known in the professional ranks for producing champions and, for you, probably, from a country "nobody heard of". And he's become one of the most dominant and well-known athletes of our time. It's not where you come from, it's where you end up. Like, where are you going to end up? White trash bbq party at a trailer park?

Exhibit A why MMA is better. MMA fighters don't have the privilege of hiding behind four sanctioning bodies as excuses to avoid fights.
"Dustin Poirier, will you give Conor McGregor a fourth fight?"
"I don't know, I mean I'd like to, but first I have to see if the WBA, WBC, IBF, or WBO will make me fight non-descript, undeserving mandatories first."
What a miserable sport.
If this was the UFC, anyone could talk their way into a mandatory title fight against Canelo even with 1-2-1 record. I watch & enjoy all fighting sports..all of them anyone who does should know better than setting themseves up like you just did!Comment

Honestly, I'm thinking Charlo at this moment it hoping for someone (Tszyu) to take the belt off of Castaņo lolComment
-
But maybe the sanctioning body can get a signed agreement from Castano and Charlo that the winner is contractually obligated to the mandatory for first defence?
Full unification gotta be priority?!Comment

I'm with you that unifying should be top priority. Can't blame other fighters if they fight their way into contention and want their shot at the title.Comment
