Since when is Brian Castano an A-level fighter?
So Buds badmouthing Charlos performance...Epic Tweet response

His best wins are some Euro level fighter & some bum from Brazil a shot Curtis Stevens decapitated in 1 round compare those to the guys Postol has fought and beaten, its night and day.
Crawfords resume is bad but he's beaten many with better resumes and accomplished a lot more.
Lets not go off the eye-test something Crawford fans are grilled for.
Crawford would get zero credit for beating a guy like Castano.Comment

Bud would duck Castaño. Castaño would whoop Crawford. His best wins are some Euro level fighter & some bum from Brazil a shot Curtis Stevens decapitated in 1 round compare those to the guys Postol has fought and beaten, its night and day.

That’s the thing, if Charlo had beaten Castano like he was meant to, or like Bud beat those guys like Postol or Indig then we wouldn’t be hearing the “Castano is elite” quotes.
In trying to elevate Charlo they are indirectly elevating Bud. They just cannot bring themselves to admitting it, hence the “Castano is elite” and am not saying he isn’t a good fighter or anything like that, just saying going around collecting belts to be undisputed isn’t an easy thing. When you face other champs to do it, so give Bud is credit.Comment

This is the fight he should target, he should move to 154, get the WBO to mandate him because he is their champ at 147. And hopefully he can be ahead at 154 before the others get there and start avoiding him like they did at 147.Comment

Castano just reminds me of Derevychenko.
Similiar style and dimensions both lack power and will almost always fall short at highest level.
Neither are anything to write home about.
I thought he edged it by 1 round but a draw was respectable enough.

154 is just as PBC run as 147 is, if not more so.Comment

I agree, Rexy, I think Taylor definitely beat Postol by at least a point though, as remember, he did knock him down as well, and won at least 6 rounds, I had him winning 7-5 115-112, and I agree Postol beat Ramirez. Crawford and Spence not happening is frustrating though as they are both clearly the biggest threat to each other right now, though there are some great younger fighters waiting in the wings.Comment
