We will not get Charlo/Castano 2 next

I don't foresee an immediate rematch happening. I think Charlo and team will hide behind the IBF mandatory that is due, knowing it's an easy fight and a chance to build back hype and momentum while letting a 2nd fight with Castano marinate. Charlo vs Murtazaliev will be coming next, probably around the end of the year. Will be interesting to see if Castano takes a relatively easier defense, or if he deals with Tim Tszyu next. Castano/Tszyu is a great fight.

Now that the A side doesn’t think it’s easy pickings, they’ll move on.

Doesn't really matter. There's Lara, Lubin 2, that Australian guy.
He's got nowhere else to go. We'll see if he'll duck these fights.

It might not happen at all , Charlo when asked about really seemed to not want that smoke ...........

Unless Haymon sees the rematch as profitable PPV and guides Charlo that route I don't expect an immediate rematch.

I know emotions are high immediately after a fight but it didn't sound like Jermell wanted that smoke. Castano on the other hand seemed like he was ready to start round 13 right there and then.

Tszyu was throwing out names like Liam Smith and Danny Garcia, but now he's expressing eagerness to fight Castano next, so I could see Castano taking that fight next if the Charlo rematch doesn't happen next. If Castano was willing to fight Charlo in Texas, I could see him fighting Tszyu in Australia.

But Crawford seems frustrated since Pacquiao-Spence was announced, and his comments about Charlo and Castano make it seem like he may drop his WBO belt at 147 to challenge for Castano's WBO belt at 154.
